Today (October 1st 2024) between 8:09 AM and 12:30 PM GMT we had two nodes (ZEUS & PULSAR) fault due to a corrupted file in a regularly scheduled software update, as a result of this unusual failure condition our health monitoring system did not remove these failing nodes from our cluster. This meant 20% of European traffic and 50% of Asian traffic received a Server 500 error message when querying our API.

We deeply apologise for this and we want you to know that we have already put in place measures to make sure the health monitoring system is not subject to the same updates at the same time as the API and we've also fixed the faulty code which allowed for a corrupted update file to be loaded and utilised by both the health monitoring system and the API.
